Reman deposit program

Core Return

Refundable deposit · coordinated pickup

Your old drivetrain core is rebuild stock — not scrap. We hold a refundable deposit at checkout, coordinate LTL pickup after delivery, and refund the deposit once your core passes inspection.

Applies to remanufactured lines with a core charge on your invoice. Used units typically have no core deposit.

How it works

Six steps to your deposit refund

Start from your account after the replacement unit delivers. We handle freight coordination — you prepare the core for LTL pickup.

  1. Open the warranty hub

Log in and go to Account → Warranty → Core returns.

  2. Select your order

Choose a delivered order that shows a core deposit on the invoice.

  3. Schedule pickup

Confirm pickup address, liftgate needs, and your preferred time window.

  4. Submit for review

Our team verifies eligibility and arranges carrier pickup or BOL instructions.

  5. Prepare the core

Drain fluids, palletize or crate the unit, and have it ready for freight.

  6. Receive your refund

After vendor inspection, the deposit returns to your original payment method.

What is a core deposit?

Rebuild stock — not an extra part

Remanufactured programs rebuild your old unit. The deposit holds your place in that cycle until we receive a rebuildable core — it is refunded, not kept as a fee.

Reman units

Engines, transmissions, and transfer cases sold as remanufactured — core charge appears on your order total and Shop With Confidence checkout breakdown.

  • Core deposit on checkout invoice
  • 30-day return window (extensions available)
  • LTL pickup coordinated after form review
  • Full deposit refund when core qualifies

Used units

Used drivetrain listings typically ship without a core deposit — this return program does not apply unless a core charge appears on your invoice.

  • No core deposit at checkout
  • No core return workflow in account
  • Separate salvage programs may apply later

Before pickup

Core condition requirements

Not sure your core qualifies? Send photos to support before you schedule pickup — minor damage may still be acceptable.

  • Same part type as the unit you purchased (engine for engine, transmission for transmission).

  • Complete assembly — major components present and rebuildable.

  • No catastrophic damage (cracked block/case, fire damage, missing internals).

  • Fluids drained before pickup; packaged for LTL freight.

  • Returned within the core window (typically 30 days from delivery — see your order confirmation).

Common questions

Core return FAQ

No. The core charge is a refundable deposit — not a separate product. It is refunded when your rebuildable core is returned per program rules.
